Mums are amazing, aren’t they? Who else would introduce you to signature homemade meals, pick you up every time you fall, be a constant shoulder to cry on and still make sure you’re always okay even long after you have left home?
Our mothers have taught us many life skills that were passed on from previous generations and not one mum is the same. In your life you can make and have many friends, some will stay and some will go, but there will only be one mum. They’re the ones that fill up parts of your favourite childhood memories, especially the nostalgia you feel when the smell of your favourite dish fills up your nose from when you were younger.
Sometimes actions speak louder than words, so even though you may not hear them express their care for you vocally, they may show it through things like putting their inner love into scrumptious meals just for you. Treasure your moments together, even arguments tend to make stronger bonds. In a mother’s eyes, their children will never really grow up.
